Adding Nodes
Overview
Add nodes to your workflow canvas to build AI generation pipelines. Floyo provides multiple ways to find and insert the nodes you need.
Adding Nodes via Right-Click Menu
The quickest way to add a node:
- Right-click on empty canvas space
- Select Add Node from the context menu
- Browse categories or use the search bar (double-click)
- Click on a node to add it to your canvas
The node appears at your cursor location, ready to be connected.
Node Browser
The node browser organizes all available nodes into categories.
Core Node Categories
Category | Description |

Custom Node Packs
Below the core categories, you'll find installed custom node packs with their own categories. Floyo supports over 2,500 custom nodes from the ComfyUI community.

Searching for Nodes
Use the search bar to find nodes by name:
- Double-click on blank area of canvas
- Type the node name in the search field
- Results filter as you type
- Click on a result to add the node
Adding Nodes from Connections
You can also add nodes by dragging from an existing connection:
- Click and drag from an output slot (right side of a node)
- Release on empty canvas space
- The node browser opens, filtered to compatible nodes
- Select a node to add it already connected
This method ensures the new node is compatible with the connection type.
Duplicating Nodes
To copy an existing node with its current settings:
- Right-click on the node you want to copy
- Select Clone from the context menu
- The duplicate appears offset from the original
Alternatively, select a node and use Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V (or Cmd+C / Cmd+V on Mac).
Tips & Best Practices
- Use search: Typing a node name is faster than browsing categories
- Drag from connections: Adding nodes this way ensures compatibility
- Save templates: Create templates for node combinations you use frequently
- Explore categories: Browse categories to discover nodes you didn't know existed
Troubleshooting
Node not appearing in search?
Solution: The node may be a custom node that isn't installed. See Requesting Custom Nodes to request installation.
Node shows as "Missing" after adding?
Solution: The node requires dependencies that aren't available. Floyo will automatically work to install missing nodes within 72 hours.
